Mrs Borrowdale - Two Year Olds
Autism Awareness/Acceptance Day.
All Friends Together 💙
Our story this week was 'We're going on a pumpkin hunt'. We sat on Nursery hill to listen to the story then we went in search of pumpkins! We found 5! We counted them and then put them in order of size.
Mrs Borrowdale cut the top off the biggest orange pumpkin and we all looked inside! We thought it looked like orange spiderwebs! The inside of the pumpkin felt soft and gooey!
We made biscuits this week!
We weighed, mixed, poured, rolled, flatten and cut out the dough, then baked them in the oven. We are such good bakers!

All things Autumn colours this week. We went on a leaf hunt and found lots of different coloured leaves, we listened to the story Leaf Man and then made our very own Leaf Man! We read the book 'That's not my Hedgehog ' and made spikey hedgehogs with play dough. We even made Leaf soup in the mud kitchen, as well as spray painted, climbed, sorted, filled containers and shared books this week in Butterfly Group.

We have continued to think about 'Ourselves' and our senses this week. We have tasted and smelled the toast, used our eyes to find lots of things in our garden, touched rough tree bark, cold sand and soft flowers and listened to the aeroplanes and our friends chatting!. We learnt a song about our five senses called 'I use my eyes to see'. I wonder how many Butterflies can remember it and sing it for you?
This week we have enjoyed playing in our Home Corner feeding the Teddies, making playdough faces and building with blocks and magnetic tiles. We have continues to name colours and talk about 'Ourselves', naming our facial features and singing 'Head ,Shoulders, Knees and toes' at snack time.
We have welcomed new friends into our Butterfly Group after the summer break. We are all settling into our routine well. This week we have looked at the Zones of Regulation, learnt a new 'Days of the week' song and practised naming our colours (which we are very good at too!).
