Week 6 - Author Workshop

This week, we had a fantastic workshop with a local author. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to the story and taking part in the activities. 
 

Week 6 - Geography

In geography, we have been learning about continents, countries and capital cities. One of the lovely members of our class brought in their beautiful quilt from home displaying the world map.

Week 5 - Maths

This week in maths, Year 1 worked together to learn about the number line.

Week 4 - Maths

This week in maths, Year 1 have been using "greater than" and "less than" to compare numbers. We even looked at greater than (>), less than (<) and equal (=) symbols.

Week 3 - Science

This week in science we compared different animals. We then worked together to sort different animals into their groups: mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians and insects. 

Week 2 - Maths

This week in maths, Year 1 explored "more" and "fewer" when comparing numbers.

 

Week 1 - Science

This week Year 1 had lots of fun learning all about the different parts of the body and linking these to the five senses.
