What do we wear in summer?

We looked at clothes that we might take on holiday or to keep us cool in summer. The goggles were a favourite! We shared the story of 'Where's Spot?' and found him in all kinds of places. We also enjoy the lovely warm weather in our shaded garden.

   

   

  

 

^{A Busy Week!}

This week we continued to watch our caterpillars grow. We also made ice-lollies and noticed what happened  them when we put them into our freezer. The lollies were cold and yummy!  

  

    

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have some new Nursery pets! We have 5 hungry caterpillars and we are watching them grow and change into beautiful butterflies!

   

              

   

 

 

 

A busy last week of term.

We have continued sharing the story 'Walking through the Jungle' and have matched our animal masks to the animals in the story! We made toast for snack and we are getting good at buttering and cutting it ourselves. Lots of mixing, whisking and stirring in the mud kitchen to end a busy half term.

 We have enjoyed lots of play in our mud kitchen and digging pit this week, making potions and soup!

 We are enjoying the story 'walking through the Jungle' and pretending to be the animals in the story!

Learning about healthy teeth, having fun outdoors and on the bikes and playing with our Butterfly friends.

Planting Sunflowers and beans,vegetable printing, hand printing,building and balancing!

Reading The Tiger who came to Tea, keeping safe near roads and practicing our scissor skills!

We have been building lots of towers this week, making walk ways with big blocks outside and thinking about which food to eat to keep us healthy!

We have made, tasted and tossed pancakes this week in Nursery as well as having our usual Butterfly fun!

World Book Day 2025. Chocolate milk shake, cookies and lots of stories.

Another busy week in Butterfly group, sorting,painting,splashing,matching and reading! Happy Half Term!

We made Jam tarts this week, decorated a Valentines picture as well as painting our hands and making lots of handprint pictures. Outdoors we enjoyed climbing, jumping and counting.

Going on a bear hunt, snack on the hill with the bears and making face biscuits for dress to express day!

We made toast this week and we all buttered our own slice! We also made bird feeders and hung them on the trees in our Nursery garden and watched to see which birds visited us! We have enjoyed making space/ nighttime pictures, playing in the garden and having lots of fun.

We have continued learning our daily routine in Nursery and enjoying our group time when we have our snack,sing songs and rhymes and listen to a story. Our favourite rhyme is 'Rolly Poly up up up" and we love the stories Dear Zoo and Oh Dear.

Happy New Year! We have welcomed new friends into our Butterfly group this week, we have explored our Nursery classroom and enjoyed Playing in our lovely garden.

We decorated our Nursery Christmas Tree this week, we used lots of language to describe the tree decorations such as shiny, smooth, glittery, sparkly and shiny! We cut pictures out of books of what we'd like Santa to bring us, we are getting very good at using scissors!

We have been learning about Celebrations this week. We made and decorated party hats, we used our cutting skills to cut out and decorate birthday cakes, we talked about our birthday tea parties and made play dough cakes and real cakes. We love to celebrate!

We have been developing our fine motor skills this week, we have rolled play dough, dabbed dots, spread butter and jam to make sandwiches, practised our cutting skills, rolled balls down a Shute and poured water as well as making friends and having fun!

Autumn 2 Week 2: This Week has been World Nursery Rhyme Week and Inter Faith Week. Look at all of the lovely activities we have been doing!

Painting firework pictures, making poppies,doing Yoga with Peppa and a visit to our Forest school! What a busy week!

What a spooky week! We have made Halloween Lollies, explored Pumpkins, read lots of stories and had a Halloween Picnic with scary cakes! Happy Half Term everyone!

Naming, tasting and peeling vegetables to make delicious soup, learning about Hedgehogs and lots more fun in Butterfly Group.

We made porridge this week just like the three bears in our story! We also read Leaf Man and made some Leaf Men of our own! Have you seen them on the trees outside of our Nursery?

Guinea pigs, bubbles, stickers, dressing up and stories about using the potty! We're always busy in Nursery!

Autumn 1 Week 4. This week we have been learning about our emotions and the Zones of Regulation, we told our friends what makes us happy! We also talked about our families and drew lovely pictures of them!Another fun week in the Butterfly group.

Autumn 1 Week 3 Another busy week in Nursery! Making bird feeders, finding a Toad and making shakers!

Autumn 1 Week 2 We have enjoyed making toast for our snack this week, we have shared stories about colour. We have sorted and matched pom-poms into tubs and made a rainbow. We have started making a Butterfly flag for our group!
