Mrs Borrowdale - Two Year Olds (Butterfly Class)

What a busy last week of term! We picked our fruit and vegetables from our garden, we talked about how they looked, their colour and their texture! We climbed, played on bikes and enjoyed playing in the home corner. Enjoy your Summer holidays everyone!

This week has been Bubble and Squeak's birthday! We made cards and cakes for them and sang Happy Birthday lots of times to them! We have continued our learning indoors and outdoors through our play.

We have enjoyed using Water colours to paint with this week, we have stirred,poured,mixed and shared while making cups of tea on the tuff tray as well as sharing books,using our imagination and looking after the dollies!

Exploring paint,doing yoga, twirling hula hoops and cuddles from Bubble and Squeak!

We have shared the story of Jack and The Beanstalk this week so we have planted beans!We are having a beanstalk race with the Bumblebee and Ladybird group to see who can grow the tallest Beanstalk! We have enjoyed the sunshine this week in our warm but shaded garden.

A busy first week back after half term, playing outside, playing inside and making friends!

Our Butterflies have come out of their cocoons and we have 5 beautiful Butterflies! Another week of learning through our play in Nursery! Happy half term everyone!

We are still watching our caterpillars grow, they are now in cocoons! We have painted, played with sand, rolled balls down shoots, dressed up and making friends this week.

Our caterpillars are so big now! We are watching them grow.We have read stories about Our New King this week and celebrated his Coranation!

We are reading the story 'The very hungry caterpillar' this week, we have printed caterpillar pictures with paint and made smoothies with fruit that the caterpillar ate in the story. We also have some pet caterpillars and we are watching and waiting to see them change into Butterflies! We are also reading stories about Kings and Queens on the run up to The Coranation next weekend!

This week we have welcomed new friends into our group. We have read lots of stories about farm animals and their babies. We have played outside ,climbing,running and jumping.Indoors we have enjoyed the sand,water,painting and building! A lovely start to the new term!

Making Easter Cakes, reading stories about Bunnies, lots of outdoor play and our usual Butterfly fun!

We have planted carrot seeds and Sunflower seeds this week and we will watch them grow.We also looked at Spring flowers and painted pictures of them! We have enjoyed playing in the Mud kitchen as well as lots of mark making this week!

This week we have read the story 'Why I love my Mum!' and we made some lovely Mothers Day cards. On Friday we decorated biscuits and raised money for Red Nose Day by dressing in something red!

We read The Enormous Turnip this week and named lots of different vegetables. We then chopped the vegetables to make soup which tasted delicious!

Welcome back after half term!This week we have done lots of printing and playing as well as World Book Day. We read the book Supertato and had lots of activities around the book. We chopped vegetables, mashed evil peas and made our own super hero potato!

This week a Tiger came for tea so we made him a cup of tea and some jam tarts! We have had lots of fun indoors and outdoors. Happy Half Term everyone!

We have been practising our climbing and balancing skills this week! We mixed, stirred and poured the ingredients when making some rock buns and we ended the week with a relaxing spa day!

Another busy week in Butterfly group!

We have been learning about Chinese New Year this week.We made a Dragon head and did a Dragon Dance, we painted pictures with red and gold paint (Red is a lucky colour in China!). We also tasted noodles and tried to use chopsticks !

This week we has read books about bedtime and talked about our bedtime routines! We have made banana lollies, some bird feeders and lots of printing.

Happy New Year 2023. We have welcomed new friends into nursery this week, we made an obstacle course and played on the bikes in our lovely outdoor space.

Nursery Party 2022. Happy Christmas!

Lots of lovely activities in Nursery including imaginative play,building,mark-making, water play and our usual Butterfly group fun!

This week we have been building, sticking, mark-making, pretending,reading, cutting and enjoying our play in the Butterfly Group!

This week Butterfly Group have bathed the dolls then washed their clothes and pegged them on the washing line! We also helped put up the Christmas tree!

Our play this week has included Exploring, pouring, building,rolling,mark making, matching and throwing! WOW!

Firework paintings, Remembrance Day Poppies, turntaking, making bird feeders and bird watching! What a busy week!

What a spooky week!We have made scary monsters at the craft table, decorated spooky biscuits, explored the Autumn leaves and had our usual fun in Butterfly Group

Sun, rain and wind, we have loved every precious minute in our gorgeous garden this week!

This week we have made pasta jewellery, biscuits and have enjoyed dressing up as police officers and fire fighters.

This week we have picked blackberries and apples from our garden, tasted blackberry jam on toast. We have made shakers and danced on our outdoor stage. We have enjoyed playing on the bikes, reading books and enjoying our snack times together!

We have had a lovely first week back.We have new friends in Butterfly class and have had lots of fun!
