Autumn 1 Week 6: This week has been all things Christmas (and Hanukkah!). Our Nativity was amazing! We have been making and writing our own Christmas cards.

Autumn 2 Week 5: This week we have been learning about and getting ready for our Nativity. We have been exploring what Christmas cards might have on the front and what kind of messages might be inside. We have been hiding and finding Rudolph's carrots and have put up out class Christmas tree.

Autumn 2 Week 4: This week we have been learning more about celebrations. We explored birthdays and played parties, made playdough cakes with the correct number of candles and made real birthday cupcakes with pretend candles. We have shared lots of birthday stories and used our scissor and tape skills to wrap presents. In phonics we played a big game of pass the parcel.

Autumn 2 Week 3: This Week we have been reading Pass the Jam Jim and making jam sandwiches! We have explored ice, practiced our 1:1 correspondence and made a stick mandala together by snapping and arranging sticks in our forest.

Autumn 2 Week 2: This week we have celebrated world nursery rhyme week and inter faith week. Look at all of the lovely activities we have been doing!

Autumn 2 Week 1: So good to be back at Nursery! The children have enjoyed exploring and learning about bonfire night and Remembrance Day. We had fun in the forest reading our story looking for the homes of night time animals. We even managed to squeeze in some yoga to help us relax!

Autumn 1 Week 8: We have enjoyed our spooky week this week. We have made dens potions, spooky lollies and have explored pumpkins. We have been reading scary stories such as Knock Knock, Who's There and singing Hairy Scary Castle.

Autumn 1 Week 7: This week we read Vegetable Glue which was a very funny story. We even made our own chunky and smooth vegetable glue! We have also made playdough hedgehogs and have been practising using our 'spelling voice' with our puppet called Sam.

Autumn 1 Week 6: This week we have been making our own patterns, dressing up, making our own Leaf Man and reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We made porridge which was ‘just right!’.

Autumn 1 Week 5: This week we have been taking our crayons for a dance, this is called scrimbling! We have talked about our houses and which things we have in different rooms. We have continued to learn about Autumn and have been singing Autumn songs. We have also been drumming with sticks. It has been such a great week!

Autumn 1 Week 4: This week we have been sorting things using different criteria and trying to think of our own ways to sort collections. We have been talking about our families, drawing pictures of ourselves and making faces. We have been exploring emotions through stories and have introduced the children to the Zones of Regulation. What a fun week!

Autumn 1 Week 3: This week we have been making our own maracas and learning to play play them and listen for 'stop', learning the names of jungle animals and role playing Walking Through the Jungle.
